How can her life and work inspire us?

Zitkála-Šá was a writer, composer and activist. Her work in all three of these areas helps us to see that we can be many things simultaneously and that each of these fields (and others) can inform the others.One of the things I find most fascinating about her is the way she lived in very different worlds, but was able to unite them in meaninful ways through art and activism. I connect with this dynamic on a very personal level, as I'm sure many of you may as well.
